Jack Boling
Head Professional

Jack Boling returns to Sag Harbor Park for his third season overall and first as Head Professional.

Jack played on the International Tennis Federation (ITF) junior and professional circuits for nine years. Travelling the world as a competitor, he has played, as either a junior or pro, in France, Guadeloupe, Mexico, St. Lucia, Barbados, Jamaica, Costa Rica, and the United States. He held an ITF world junior ranking of 488 in 2005. His most notable matches include wins over Sekou Bangoura when Bangoura was the #1 junior in the United States; Guillermo Bujniewicz, ATP #667; and Mariano Pettigrosso, ATP #816.

Jack also competed extensively in the French club tennis professional league and on the French Federation’s national professional circuit.

In 2014 and 2015, Jack helped lead ASA College of Brooklyn to back-to-back NJCAA national championships, earning All-America honors both years. It was the first time in history the national championship had been captured by a northern team. Jack also received Academic All-America honors both years and shared valedictorian honors with two of his fellow classmates at ASA, graduating with a degree in Business Administration/Accounting.

A native of Laredo, Texas, Jack proudly calls Brooklyn home now. He attends Queens College and is majoring in Economics.

Jack looks forward to another outstanding, fun-filled summer season at Sag Harbor and to the privilege of helping Sag members become the best players they can be.

 

Miguel Bendito

Miguel Bendito worked for ATM at Montauk Downs in 2016 and will be with us at Sag Harbor for the 2017 season. Miguel is originally from Maracay, Venezuela, and has been playing tennis for more than 11 years.

When Miguel was younger he always watched the tournaments any time they were on TV, and that encouraged him to start playing tennis and improve his game. Miguel's tennis idol is Rafa Nadal. As a kid he always admired his determination and heart during matches. Also, Miguel is a lefty, just like Rafa.

As a junior, Miguel was ranked in the top 20 players in Venezuela. He is currently playing college tennis at Queens College, which is ranked second in the NCAA Division II East Coast Conference. Miguel has been coaching tennis for players of all ages for more than three years and is excited to share his experience, knowledge, and high energy with the Sag Harbor tennis community.

Gabriel Mendez

Gabriel Mendez helped out at Sag Harbor at the end of the 2016 season and returns to ATM for the 2017 season. He is originally from Pachuca, Hidalgo, in Mexico.

As a junior, Gabriel was consistently ranked in the top 10 in the Mexican Tennis Federation (FMT) and was two-time Mexican national champion (2011-12). He is an ATP-ranked player and has participated in several ITF tournaments.

Gabriel is currently playing college tennis at Queens College, which is ranked second in the NCAA Division II East Coast Conference. He was named ECC rookie of the month for two consecutive months in 2015 and was named to the ECC All-American First Team in 2016.

Gabriel is looking forward to being a part of the ATM team in 2017.

Julio Pulido
Junior Camp Director and
Staff Tennis Professional

Originally from Caceres, Spain, Julio Pulido joins Sag Harbor Park Tennis as Junior Camp Director for the 2017 season. He attended New York Institute of Technology on a tennis scholarship and is now pursuing his Master's degree in sports pedagogy at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

Julio started playing tennis when he was four years old and began coaching younger players when he was just 14 years old. He has served as a coach with the Spanish Padel Federation, as a Master Pro at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy, and as a tennis camp director at Sportime Amagansett in New York.

Steve Annacone

Steve Annacone has been a tennis professional and coach for more than 40 years. His accomplishments include seven years of ATP Tour experience as coach for Paul Annacone (highest world rankings, #12 in singles, #2 in doubles).

Steve is President and owner of Annacone Tennis Management LLC (ATM), a company specializing in the management of tennis facilities. ATM currently manages Sag Harbor Park Tennis, My Hamptons Pro (a private court concierge tennis business in the Hamptons), the Raptor Bay Golf Club tennis program, the Hyatt Coconut Point Hotel tennis program, as well as the Hyatt Coconut Plantation Resort tennis program in Bonita Springs, Florida.

Under Steve’s guidance, the goal of ATM is to increase participation in the sport and provide a great experience for players of all levels, from those just beginning to play tennis, to seasoned players who aspire to prove that tennis is the sport for a lifetime.
